atlj Posted July 12, 2004 #1 Share Posted July 12, 2004 I'm so confused about ship vs. island time. Our Conquest documents say we arrive in Grand Cayman at 7:00 a.m. Will this also be 7:00 a.m. in Grand Cayman or different? Hoping we can make an 8:30 a.m. Nativeway Tour. I'd like to hear directly from previous Conquest travelers if possible. Thanks!!
missmissypie068 Posted July 13, 2004 #2 Share Posted July 13, 2004 You'll be fine. We JUST got home from the same cruise. The Conquest is on Central Time out of New Orleans, the Caymans is the same time. Where all the confusion comes into play is others who sail from say Miami.......because they're on Eastern time and have to adjust to Central Time in the Caymans. Crichard Posted July 13, 2004 #3 Share Posted July 13, 2004 We also just returned from the Conquest. The only problem may be getting a boat to shore for that time. They let the people with Carnival excursions off the boat first. We left on the second boat and was on the island for 7:45. I would let them know and see if they can get you a boat. Or, you just may want to meet upstairs for 7:15 with the scheduled Carvnival tours group. They all go to the boat and head to the island together. Tickests for the tour are not checked until you get to the island so you know where to go. good luck. Cathy
