Is this dress appropriate?

I've cruised before, but it was pretty casual and while I dressed up, I didn't do the gown thing on formal night. We kind of want to do it up for our next cruise in November. I ordered this from Nordstrom...it came today and I really love it, but is it too dressy? Too prom-ish? Too revealing? Too anything?

 

I just need some lady advice. :o

I think this is a very beautiful dress. I would hope that whoever you are with that when you wear this dress, that they compliment you (like for pictures. Very lovely & not too dressy in my personal opinion. I'd love to be able to wear something like this. Love the lace overlay. GO FOR IT!!!:)

I thought it was beautiful too, but I guess I just needed to hear it from my peers. :D It fits very nicely, but not as nicely as it does the model!

 

Now if I could only get rid of my tan lines.

My sister used Natural Glow by Jergens. It makes them less noticable.

 

And the dress is beautiful.:D

The dress is beautiful. The lace overlay is my favorite part of the dress, so delicate and feminine. Go to a tanning bed. I know I will get flamed for saying that but it does get rid of tan lines. Gives you a nice base tan for sitting in the sun also.

Very pretty dress. I love the color! I have a dress that is similar with the lace overlay, except it is navy blue. I 'll be wearing it on my next cruise in Nov. I think your dress is a great color for Fall.
