Youngercruisers Posted October 1, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 1, 2006 Hello Cruisers, My wife and I are going on the Crown Oct 27th and we are wondering how long it will take from new York to hit the warmer weather. Doesn't matter to much but we do have a balcony and would LOVE to enjoy the rays. We have never done a repositioning cruise so any tips please let us know. Looking forward to this like you wouldn't believe. Or you problem do........ Thanks Peter
chrysalis Posted October 1, 2006 #2 Share Posted October 1, 2006 every hour you move south, it gets warmer...but if you are talking more "tropical" weather then it will take about 2 to 3 days if you are cruising without a port stop.....the ship is travelling at about 20mph or thereabouts.......so that gives you an idea. Youngercruisers Posted October 1, 2006 Author #4 Share Posted October 1, 2006 Great help! Also does the crown have a retractable roof for pool area? Never sailed on a cruise from a colder port. Can't wait. See you there.
