RCI and Grand Cayman

Recommended Posts

I'm debating about what to do in Grand Cayman (if anything). We will be on the Freedom of the Seas and I know at least one port we want to stay on the ship. Anyhow I heard about Sea Grape at 7 Mile Beach and we considered doing this on our own HOWEVER I found out there will be 7 ships in port that day and I'm concerned it will be crowded. RCI has a beach excursion called Beach Break and Lunch in which you have to get your own taxi to some beach at some hotel for $26pp which includes a BBQ lunch, one drink, and a lounge chair. Has anyone done this excursion? Is it worth it? Would we (family of 4 with a 9yo and 12yo) be better off trying to do Sea Grape? Should we just stay on the ship?
