Halifax comedian "Missing the ship"?

I just thought about this while eating dinner and want to get confirmation from the Cruise Critic Gang.

 

We have done the Victory/Triumph, 4 & 5-day cruise out of New York on four different occasions and on every one of these the Cruise Director has apologized for the Comedian (boarding in Halifax) “missing the ship” as the airplane arrived late.

 

So my dear friends has this ever happened to you on this run? Is this the worst luck ever OR is it just BS on the part of Carnival?

Both comedians made the ship on the Aug 21st run. Probably would have been a blessing if the first one had missed it:D .

Didn't happen on either of my Canada cruises.
