Cholly Posted October 2, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 2, 2006 I am exactly 2 months away from my 2nd cruise! My first cruise was in 2004 and I did not want to go! I packed the night before and complained all evening to my DH about having to go. I knew NOTHNG about cruising and had not looked into it all so I packed an Iron and a candle!!! I ended up loving it and when I came back I stumbled upon Cruise Critic. I have spent many hours here lurking and feeling like when I log in that I am checking up on friends. So thanks to all of you, I won't be bringing a candle or an Iron. I have a list of drinks to try, I have booked my excursions independently based on feedback from you. I have my power strip, extra hangers, extension cord and passport. Mainly, I want you who post regularly to know that I appreciate all the information you have shared. I get lots of enjoyment from this site and I am just getting ready to book my 3rd cruise!! Thanks again! Monica

SmooCruise Posted October 2, 2006 #4 Share Posted October 2, 2006 If you've booked a balcony don't forget your bungee cord! To hold the balcony door open. We loved having the door open at night and going to sleep listening to the ocean and feeling the breeze. ;)
tigerdadky Posted October 2, 2006 #5 Share Posted October 2, 2006 I can relate to Cholly, when I booked our first cruise for last April, I was a cruising virgin. Didnt know squat about cruising. If I had found this site first I wouldnt have had to waste $20.00 on a book on cruising. By the time we arrived in Galveston and boarded the Elation I felt like the commerial where the guy says " Ive been here before". We have our second cruise booked for this April on the celebration. I still surf the threads several times a day every day for new info about cruising and for giving some input to first time cruisers. Cruise critics should be viewed by all that have a cruise booked or are considering a cruise. Thanks cruise critic friends for all you do.
