Century Rocks

I went on the Century back in 2004, and I can tell anyone who will be going on the Century this year is on for a treat. The service is excellent. We had a really fun waiter at our table named Mathew, who was from India. He was quite bubbly and fun. The Century had good chocolate cake and good torts. The nice part of Celebrity is that the ship is not super big. I loved Islands Cafe, of which is the ship's buffet. The pizza and the cheeseburgers were average, but the rest of the gourmet food was good. The pools were saltwater and often got in my eyes from the water sloshing around, in which was nice and relaxing. Our stateroom was not too small, and I got used to the steady rocking of while drifting off the sleep every night. Things that I did not care for, were the smoke in all the bars and the casino. It was so thick, you couldn't cut it with a knife. The movies on the ship were fun. It was fun to watch Pirates of the Caribbean, since I was sailing in the caribbean with the feeling of the rocking of the boat. It made the theme more fun. All in all, I liked the Century.

What type of cabin did you have?

I was on before the refurb (March 06) and read a few reviews from unhappy sailors. I was very pleased with the ship so I am happy to hear for you. I can't imagine she is not incredible now.

I really wanted to try it again this winter to see the improvements.

After seeing the ship photos and reading the reviews. I decided to try Century. The only disappointment for me is that they got rid of the t-pool. I really enjoyed that on the Constellation.

In any event, I think it will be a great experience and will just have to "rough" it and get in the hot tubs instead.

Anyone else going on the April 7th sailing?
