Late Dinner Seating Show Times

I noticed a few posts here which indicated that the shows for late dinner seating are scheduled before dinner. Since the main reason we choose late dinner is not to be rushed, we certainly don't want to rush for a show. I thought that only RCL did this to get passengers into the Casino and the bars after dinner, rather than having then sit at a show without spending money. Please tell me this is not true on the QM2 since my wife refuses to crusie on ships with this schedule.

My wife and I have been on the QM2 twice: September 2004 to Canada/New England and December 2005 to the Caribbean. We will be back on board on Thursday, October 12, for the 12 day roundtrip cruise from Brooklyn, New York to Canada/New England.

We dined in the first serving in the Britannia Restaurant. On both past cruises the first show in the Royal Court Theatre began at 7:45 PM. Being the first serving begins at 6 PM, with the last order taken at 6:30 PM, a 7 PM show would be too early to be scheduled.

Most shows lasted about an hour.

Bon Voyage..........Terrence (Terry)
