Super 8 Galveston?

We just booked the Super 8 in Galveston for one night pre-cruise in February and just wondered if anyone has any first-hand experience with this hotel. Since it's very inexpensive, we don't expect a luxury hotel, we just want something clean and convenient. Will this one fit the bill?

me and the wife stayed there in mid Sept 06 , it was a ok motel kinda tricky getting into the motel parking lot though have to enter thru the waffle house parking lot, but hey walmart right down the street, for the last minute things ya know . rooms was clean, mini fridge, microwave, pool was small and had a very small hot tub there also . but i would stay again, can't see the beach from there but it is right across the street.

Thanks for sharing your recent experience, buffcoat. It helps to know that the rooms were clean, the motel adequate and the location good. Sounds like it might work for us.
