Enough time for Brimstone Hill Fortress in St. Kitts?

We are on the Crown Princess and our ship is only in port from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

 

All we want to do is take a taxi to Brimstone Hill Fortress and spend some time there and then return to wander around town. The fortress opens at 9:30 a.m.

 

A couple of questions...

1. How long does it take to get to the fortress by taxi?

2. Those who have visited, how long did you tour for?

3. Are there drivers at the fortress available to take us back to the port?

4. What price should I expect to pay just to go to the fortress and back (two people)?

 

Thank you for any help. We would like to save

some money at this port but don't want to cut things too close time-wise.

I'll be sure to check them out. I wasn't sure if we would have enough time to visit the fort and then go to the beach.
