spearmint Posted October 14, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 14, 2006 For those who took a Baltic excursion in St. Petersburg,(ours was Aug. 26 cruise, Constellation) there is a photo essay on the reburial of Czarina Maria Fyodorovna (mother of the last Czar)from Denmark to Saint Petersburg that you might be interested in. During our tour, the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul (inside the fortress of the same name) was being prepared for the internment. Our guide, Lyudmilla, mentioned that we would probably see it on television. Not much attention was given over here, though. check out: www.cbsnews.com/sections/world/main202.shtml scroll down the left hand side of the page and click "Reunited in Russia". Hello to our 8 other excursionists from Bill and Rosemarie.
