Time to get through MIA

Any idea how long it will take on average for non US citizens arriving at 12.30pm on a Saturday on an international flight to get through immigration, baggage reclaim, customs then get to car rental and drive away.

 

Someone told me it is crazy at MIA and all this takes hours any thoughts please.

I would allow plenty of time becuase MIA is a zoo house and sometimes you can get several international flights coming in at the same time and the lines are astronomical in Immigration. I would allow at least 1-2 hours for immigration/Customs and then another 1 hour for getting to the car rental agency getting the car and doing all the appropriate transactions before driving away.
