PNW - Mercury Questions

Hi,

 

I will be escorting a group of approx. 150 people in Sept., 2007. I have a few questions regarding the short cruise for anyone who's done a Celebrity/Mercury PNW weekend. Your help would be MUCH appreciated!

 

My questions are not so much Celebrity related as they are the extra-brochure details that the line doesn't include in their literature. I am a very seasoned Celebrity veteran, having sailed with them since the late 1990s.

 

Need to ask some questions about the embarkation/disembarkation in Seattle, and about the ports of call in Victoria and Nanaimo.

Thanks for your quick response and willingness to help!

 

1.) Parking in Seattle? I understand there is a parking garage available across the street from the cruise pier. Since I see you're from Utah, this might not be something you experienced. The people in our group will be driving in from all across Washington state.

 

2.) When were the ship's casino and boutiques open? I'm assuming the ship can open when they are not in port.

 

3.) Where did you dock in Victoria, how easy/difficult was it to get into (bus or walk) the Inner Harbour area from where the ship docked? I am assuming there was a Celebrity shuttle, but there might be cost involved. I am also assuming there might be limited local buses and taxis available.

 

4.) What was tendering like in Nanaimo, what are the shops and pier area like for those just wanting to do the town on their own?

 

5.) Did you have any favorites, things you'd recommend onshore that people "should not miss?"

 

6.) What time were you able to disembark on Monday morning in Seattle? Some of our folk are curious as to what time they'll get home.
