jcb91777 Posted October 18, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 18, 2006 My wife and I will be arriving in Curacao on 3/6/07 on the Empress of the Seas. We're having a tough time deciding what to do while we're there, and would appreciate any suggestions and/or opinions on shore excursions. We're mulling over: 1. the Spanish Water Snorkel Expedition past Caracas Bay and Jan Thiel the snorkel at the sunken tugboat 2. the Curacao Snorkelling Tour to snorkel at Caracas Bay 3. the Catamaran Sailing & Beach Day at Jan Thiel where you sail your own cat, and/or 4. the Ostrich Farm and Aloe Plantation We prefer snorkelling, and will probably be doing just that at most of the other islands stops, but we're totally open to suggestions on other stuff also. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Rent-A-Guide Posted October 27, 2006 #2 Share Posted October 27, 2006 jcb91777, With a car, you can snorkel the same spots and see the whole island (east and west) and include the Ostrich and Aloe Vera Plantation stops! jcb91777 Posted November 11, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted November 11, 2006 Rent-A-Guide: Thanks for the idea. However, we're only there from 10 am to 6 pm, and I don't think we'd have enough time do do it all. Is there one thing I shouldn't miss?
lanabanana Posted November 16, 2006 #4 Share Posted November 16, 2006 May I suggest that you hire Leo to be your guide for a day? He will tailor his tour to whatever your interests are and I can't recommend him highly enough. We used him last week and were more than satisfied. He is very knowledgeable about the island and his English is excellent His e-mail is plaate@interneeds.net You won't be sorry! Alanna
