Transportation out of Ft. Lauderdale

We will be on the Westerdam returning to Ft. Lauderdale Nov. 30. Since this cruise originates in Barcelona we are trying to figure out the best way to get back to our home in St. Pete. Is our best alternative to take the HAL shuttle to the airport and pick up a rental car? Does anyone have a better idea? :)

It's a 4 hour drive. If you don't mind the drive, then rent a car, it will be cheaper than flying. Otherwise, I know that Southwest has $60 fares from PBI(West Palm) to TPA (Tampa).
