Difference between CC and 2A, Deluxe Veranda Stateroom

We are new to Celebrity and snagged a great deal on an E Caribbean cruise this Dec. We booked in a bit of a hurry and did not get to do the investigating we normally would do.

We will be in a CC, but noticed that the 2A, Deluxe Veranda Stateroom is actually more money (this would be on M class), by about $200 to $400 per cabin (based on a resident's rate for more savings). However, this cabin is 170 sq.ft, aprox 21 sq.ft smaller than CC. And CC has many amenities that the 2A, Deluxe Veranda Stateroom does not.

Why is this? Is it a supply/demand type of thing? Thanks!

Yes, it is a supply/demand thing. Also, at this late date the CC rooms left might be the less desirable (location, etc) - we had a friend on the Millie that had a CC room where the balcony was smaller than stated - even smaller than the one we had for our 2B - so they are at a reduced price to move them, the regular 2A's might be moving better.

Hi Muushka !

Stay with what you have. You are in an excellent location. On rare occasion, the 2A's price more than CC Class. Yes, makes little sense, but it does happen. Whenever you see that, in almost all cases, CC would be the obvious choice (unless the remaining CC cabins are in a poor location).

Enjoy your Cruise !

Thanks Andy and gracecarmo. I appreciate your input.

Yes, this is going to be a fun cruise. We have only done Disney in the past, so it will be different (not as many kiddos!) But after reading these boards for the past few weeks, and getting the Celebrity Cruiser Flavor, I think we will love it. Again, thank you.:)
