Depends what part of Miami you are intrested in staying in. Would you like to be close to the port or would you like to stay on the beach?

We stayed close to the port, Holiday Inn Bayside Marketplace, which turned out to be wonderful. Directly across the street from the marketplace which was shops, restaurants and marina. We took a cab to Southbeach to see it but liked where we were staying.

We booked Hyatt downtown on Priceline for $65 plus taxes($81), and were very pleased with it. We rode the metromover to and from Bayside....rode the island queen sightseeing boat, and had dinner at Bubba Gumps, and desert with ccers at Los Ranchos. I called the hotel after winning the bid and requested a king bed non smoking bayside higher floor room, and that's what we got!!!!! The staff at the hotel were terrific!!!!!!!!

I would be intersted in hotel suggestions in Miami beach on the ocean.

We would like to stay near the port and the Bayside Market sounds like a lot of fun. So, is the Holiday Inn across the street kept up nice and is it safe in that area? Even though it's just overnight, you can't be too careful.

It is directly across the street and I felt that it was in a well lit safe place
