Ok' date=' does everyone have their assignments for Thursday's staff meeting? We need to have our plan in place, to make dwrist's april cruise perfect, by next weekend. As many of us will be off on our "comped" cruises in the next few weeks. After that we need to get back here to start accumulating those "Good Faith" points towards our next free cruise.

Got it boss. Already sent instructions to Klaus and Ruth in Germany. I will brief the big boss Colin in the morning. I will make sure dwrist's key card has the special encription that makes sure no wait for a table, no 3 hour dinners, and heavy pour at the bars.

Do we need to put in for the special fix for the casion ?

Now you have me worried since I will be on the Dream for back-to-back cruises totalling almost 4 weeks. I sure don't want to wait that long every day and I didn't plan on using the pay restaurant. I really don't mind odd times, buffets or sitting with strangers since I will be alone. Hopefully this will help. Any suggestions for avoiding these lines?

Having spent two wonderful cruises on the Dream I can confidently say that, if you are happy to share a table with fellow cruisers, you will have little or no wait for a table at dinner, certainly in Terraces. We've only experienced one LONG wait for dinner (in over 20 days on the Dream) but we weren't planning on going anywhere else . We would have been seated quicker had we not wanted a table for just the 3 of us.

Enjoy your b2b - lucky you :D

We sailed the Dream for 11 nights. We always ate in Terraces or Trattoria every night for dinner around 6:00. Never had to wait once for a table. Our meals took about an hour. Oh yes, we did eat in Le Bristo the first night for 1/2 price. It was nothing to rave about IMHO.

Plan activated! I am off to make sure that Lamb Kebab is not on the menu for dwrist's cruise. Rumour has it that Colin has said bonus cruises are in order if we pull this one off.

Planer's edge,

I as well as others have posted negative comments about NCL on this board (which we thought were allowable), Two things usually happen.

1- Your post will mysteriously disappear. As this one probably will..

2- You WILL be attacked by the usual gang.

I'll finish this post by being nice and offer advice to avoid waiting on line for dinner. As soon as you board, go down or up to your main dining room or restaurant and hand the maitre'd a $50 . I bought my table up front and never waited in the chow line for my entire cruise.

When I handed over the money, the maitre'd allowed me to select the table of my choice so long as the table size was not bigger than we needed - that was ok because I found a table that fit my parties exact number by the window and away from the waiters station.

Well worth the 50 but I warn you as the matre'd did -you will not have the same waiter every night.

The maitre'd smiled at us every night and waved us through the crowd.

We wont be sailing NCL again but it's nice to help someone whom already has tickets. Enjoy --Glenn

No, you were to get your instructions via email so as to maintain your anonymity. Well, now that you screwed that up, you better show up at the Thursday staff meeting since the cat is out of the bag.

Shoreguy, please proceed with the "special" casino operations.

The plan seems to be in good hands. So, I can go off on my free cruise and not have to worry too much, so long as Agent Seahorse pulls her part off.

There was also 5 of us...and the waits were horrible! Especially after we sat down. We even made reservations each night.

And yes Budi was great, and the Matre 'd at the Trattoria - Meliana was great. And Santiago at the 4 seasons.

It's the kitchen staff, the F&B manager and the chefs should be taken to the Plank!

We also had our "Daily Service Charge" removed from our billing and tipped the "Great Individuals" personally.

You say you "even made reservations each night" and yet on another thread say you had 1-2 hr. waits just to get seated. Something does not jive.

Glad you liked the Kids Club.

Monte:

Remember that Sun cruise - well I was checking up on your loyalty and my carefully placed bugs picked up one mildly negative comment - consider yourself lucky that I was not ordered to "poof" you permanently. Shape up and send Colin a bribe and I am sure you will be back on the 'special' list and always get window seating in the dining room.

Of course, we all know that I bash NCL just to hide my identity as a fellow employee...:D

You must be mistaken! When I said, "this doesn't fit me at all," I was talking about the shoes, not freestyle with NCL (everything else in the bag was just fine)!!!

Now that's FREESTYLE loyalty.

Read the board and you'll see plenty of negatives. Hmmm...this thread is negative. Funny...it's still here. :) Posts are removed if they break the board guidelines. It doesn't matter if it's a positive or negative post.

OK...

1 - You couldn't be more wrong and I can find you dozens of posts to prove that

2- People usually only feel attacked because people don't agree with them not because they're actually being attacked

We wont be sailing NCL again
Awwwww...that's too bad. ;)

Glen just click on his name and see all posts. Let me see I bet I can find some. Just ask for a link to his thread on NCL moving their cabins.

ahh, the efficiency of NCL Customer NON Service. Put them on hold and maybe they will go away.

My TA said almost exactly the same thing about NCL and has been trying to get us to try other lines. In fact, the travel agency that she works for no longer advertizes NCL and only sells NCL is requested. They were the only company in our large city area that even advertized NCL in the major daily paper and now they are not. (they say that the poor way our incident was handled weighed heavily in the decision.) NCL, as proven by my story will do nothing that costs them money if they can help it. We got nothing except our connecting rooms in spite of two months of being upset. I firmly believe that if the Cruise Critic members had not been so supportive and vocal on these boards, we wouldn't even have got the connecting cabins! During our experience, especially at the end, I got the feeling that NCL was only giving us the connecting cabins because they had to but they wanted to make sure that we got nothing else extra. (Why not upgrade us instead of the ones they moved out of the connecting cabins...according to the website, the AB/AF connecting rooms were still available right up until the day after the offered us the connecting cabins!)

My parents are going on the new Pearl next summer back to Alaska. We were thinking about joining them, but my wife refuses because she doesn't want to risk the potential of stress that we all went through the last two months before our cruise. (and she also feels that NCL owes us for the inconveinence and hassle.) Oh well, maybe she will come around in 2008....lol

Thanks guys for the great job so far. Yes, we need the casino ... Make sure the dealers know we are coming and need to win big. Also bingo please. SG can we have your private number ;) if something is a wee bit wrong with our dinner order?

You're tips are in the emails I sent yesterday.

<I wonder if I can get a free upgrade to the Villa>

Thanks for the good laugh today, we needed it. :D

Like you said , look up my name.

I posted on Sep 20 @ 2:39 am

I made positive comments about our concierge "vicky". Unforgettable attention to detail I must say. Our positive memories however were heavily negated by freestyle experience. Sorry - that's the best memory ,excellent concierge. -Glenn

Meridian...if you have questions about how the board is moderated, contact the board administrator. Don't address me or those issues on the board. That violates the community guidelines.

We cruised on the Dream, however, it was several years ago. Never had to wait for a table for 2 except for 5 minutes on captain's night. Same thing on the Sun. Guess we've been lucky not to have experienced long wait times some others have. In fact, the Sun also had the best food so far out of 5 cruises (with Carnival Conquest a close second). Really enjoy free-style dining but don't mind regular dining either.

Thanks for the good laugh!! After spending entirely too much time with problems at the airport and travel to my hotel (for work, no cruise), this made my night so much better. I for one have never had a bad NCL cruise and never seem to experience the long waiting issues I keep reading about.
