TAHOE CRUISER Posted October 22, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 22, 2006 I am on the Coral Princess, Nov. 12th for a 10 day FLL to Panama and back. I'm an advanced diver and would like some reccomendations on the best Ports of call to dive and suggested dive shops to use. Our Ports of call are: Ocho Rios, Panama, Limon, Grand Cayman, Cozumel. Thx in advance
chrysalis Posted October 22, 2006 #2 Share Posted October 22, 2006 Do "The Wall" at Grand Cayman....drops off to a zillion feet. (you can take a research submersible down a long way, as an excursion) also, suggest you check out this thread..... http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=
Stevesan Posted October 22, 2006 #3 Share Posted October 22, 2006 Try the Cruise Critic Scuba and Snorkeling board. You'll get good responses: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=40 A side note: Coz is world class. Both Palancar (@20 feet) and Columbia (@ 40 feet) are excellent adjacent reefs with abundant sea life. Hurricane Wilma destroyed the near shore reefs, but the deeper off shore reefs survived with minimal damage. There are a number of good operators there, both Eagle Ray and Manta Ray come highly recommended. J&B in GA Posted October 29, 2006 #4 Share Posted October 29, 2006 Hello TAHOE CRUISER, I would definately recommend Grand Cayman or Cozumel. We don't dive, but have snorkled there and it was awesome ! I understand there are some fantastic sea walls just off the coast in Grand Cayman. Eagle Ray Divers in Cozumel has had some excellent CC recommendations, you might want to check them out ! FYI - I have a sister and brother-in-law living in No. Lake Tahoe going on your CP cruise Nov 12th. Do you know them ? Take care and enjoy your cruise ! :D
