I did the Maruba Jungle Spa & Resort excursion last March. It was INCREDIBLE!! So Beautiful & relaxing:-)

I booked this as an independent tour through Island MarketingLTD. I found them to be very prompt & professional, and would not hesitate to book with them again. (A great operation).

I met my guide Richard at the tourist village in Belize and he had me to the resort within the next 30-40 minutes:-). Introduced me to Anna (the owner) who took me on a personal tour of the property, and then introduced me to my massuse.

The package that I booked included roundtrip transportation to/from my ship, a spa service of my choice & a tropical lunch in the jungle.

The entire day was incredible!! Starting out with the guided tour with Anna really allowed me to "get my bearings". She showed me to the 2 different pools & mineral baths, several different bamgoo sitting areas with LARGE tropical flower arrangments, and even showed me the interior of a typical guestroom & then of a suite. WOW!! Anyone wanting a very quiet/secluded or romantic getaway . . . . would absolutely LOVE this place!!!

I continued to follow Anna down the path until we came to a rather large bamboo structure where she took me inside and introduced me to my massuse. Again, I think my jaw may have dropped when I saw this room! Imagine, if you will, a large room with bamboo walls, infused with small circular pies of stained glass which lets a very difused light into the room. There are incense burning, and a very relaxing African-Tribal sort of music playing softly in the background.

OMzg111 This was one of the BEST massages I've ever had in my life!!!

Afterwards, my massuse escorted me back to the area in the jungle where I would have my lunch.

Again, if you can imagine sitting at a table with a leopard-print tablecloth & palm leaves spread out as a placemat, a tropical flowerarrangement as a centerpiece. You can only hear thesilence of the rainforest the sound of birds singing (and an ocassional monkey:-). My waiter comes by with a "Welcome to Maruba" cocktail (a rum drpunch drink served in a coconut shell with a red hibiscus flower floating on top. (very yummy). I ordered the fresh fish of the day (tilapia)served with Mexican rice & grilled veggies. Enjoyed a liesurely lunch (about an hour), then relaxed by their pool for a bit before making my way back to the main lobby area to find Richard who was waiting paciently to take me back to the tender pier.

Maruba Jungle Spa & Resort is FABULOUS!!!!! I hope to go back there again some day. It was an unforgettable experience.

Feel free to ask me any specific questions you might have. (I know I had a LOT of them when I first heard about this place).
