A Very Specific Question About Jewel Owner's Suite Balconies

We are booked into the Owner's Suite on the Norwegian Pearl next year for a 15 day Trans-Canal Los Angeles to Miami cruise. We have been searching the CC Boards and the Internet in general for as much information as we can glean about the OS on the Norwegian Jewel, a pre-clone (we understand) of the just completed Norwegian Pearl.

We know that the front balcony is quite large, right up-front, and very much under the watchful eyes of the crew on the bridge. My question is about the side balcony. It appears to be a less "open" balcony than most with just two large square openings in the side of the boat. It also appears to be significantly wider at one end than at the other.

Can anyone who has sailed the Jewel in the Owner's Suite give me a description of, and their impressions of, the side balcony?

Dick,

We were in the Jewel AA 9004.

The balconies are actually just like the Dawn AA.

The side balconies -one off of the d/r and one off of the l/r - are actually one long balcony.

It has 2 lounge chairs w/table and another large table w/4 chairs..a great area for dining.

Front deck is beautiful also.

Have a great cruise:)

I'll be on Jewel's 9504 next month.

Regarding the front balcony, can someone from the adjoining cabin peek around the front balcony divider? On the Sun, the front balcony dividers extended out a bit so no one can look into the adjoining balcony. Thx.

The divider between the front balconies slopes down. At the back (near the cabin) it runs from the deck up to the next deck level, but slopes down as it goes toward the front of the balcony. At the front it is around 3 feet high and you can peer over it to see your neighbor's balcony.:o

The side balcony is of equal width at both ends. You can look out on the balcony from the bathroom (deck 9 anyway) and you can also look up in the plexiglass hole in the bridge floor they use when docking on the bridge.
