duty free liquor

My Southern Caribbean cruise sails from San Juan, PR. Being from the US, I assume I can't get duty free liquor in St. Thomas USVI or San Juan. Where would you recommend I find it, out of Dominican Republic, Barbados, Grenada, and Antigua? If possible, I'd like somewhere I can get Tortuga banana rum, which I've found on other Caribbean cruises. Mmmmm.

You most certainly can buy your DF liquor in St Thomas. The limit from the VI is 5 liters as long as one of them is produced in the VI. There is no limit from San Juan as it is an American commonwealth country. From all of the other Islands you mention, there is a limit of one liter. These limits can not be combined, with the exception of Puerto Rico. You should be able to buy Tortugan banana rum in STT, if not, the Cruzan banana rum made in the VI is excellent and sells for about $4.95 a liter....jean
