50's Night, Got Poodle Skirts

I mentioned to our dance studio director that they sometimes have 50's night on the Celebrity ships, and she quickly was loaning me two poodle skirt to bring for the 50's night on the cruise.

 

I think it is usually just the staff that dress up, but since its free, we are driving to the port, and DD and I love costumes, why not!!????

 

Any body else dress up for 50's night.

Well, now I know what I've got that '50's skirt I made a couple of years ago for a dinner murder mystery still hanging in my closet for! :)

In all my Celebrity cruises, I have never seen any passenger dress for the 50's night (if one was held).

You could do jeans rolled at the cuff, a pink shirt untucked with the collar turned up & sleeves rolled up, white socks & loafers. Cool Baby

Too funny, we were on our walk the other day (Halloween) and we saw a golden lab dressed up in a......poodle skirt :D !

 

She was very proud and happy to show off her costume.

 

While not many pax dress for theme nights anymore, I see nothing wrong with it if you really want to.
