I remember I had to go back to the ship for more cash . So much shopping to do with so little time .:(

When we were there J had conversations with many of the vendors over there aggressiveness . He told them to back off because that does not work with "Americans" (people from the US and Canada) . From what you have posted it seems like they have listened . :D

In Kusadasi and also in Istanbul they have really cool it down compared to when we were here together in August of 2004....smart of them finally!

We'll so much for going to bed early. I went to the "Office" after dinner and played for almost 2 hours and couldn't make anything happen and took a loss tonight!

The Casino was a little busier than usual as we have a late arrival in Mykonos at twelve noon, therefore people stayed up a little later.

I am going to go to bed and hopefully sleep in a little.

Plans for tomorrow is to walk around a bit in town and have some coffee and a bite to eat perhaps.

The weather is calling for a high of 66F and sunny with light winds.

More to follow later tonight from the Golden Princess enroute to Mykonos, Greece.

There were alot of problems on Island Princess.......this was not due to the fact of being in an unavailable area. You would be writing and then it would freeze up.......leaving all your information on the screen but the clock was still charging(Mine was free Thank Goodness).A person would then have to come up from the Pursers Office and fix.....Then there were others that were just as dead as door nails. On the day before Debarkation the whole Internet was taken off line because the management were doing the billings in another area. There were long line ups by the the time they allowed them back on line around 3.00PM in the afternoon....everyone wonting to print their boarding passes for the Airport. Many times when we rang to the pursers office during the trip due to the frozen screens.........nobody came to fix....very frustrating indeed.

If anyone can make them take notice of this ongoing problem it is you Tony.:)

You I am this close to writting a letter to the "Puzzle Palace" while I am onboard about this poor level of service regaridng the ongoing maintenance of the Internet Cafe and the 3 computers in the Library.

Tony did post from an internet cafe on the 1st cruise from Greece. :) I think you were on your Hawaiian cruise then.

My cruise is Nov.25. We are leaving on the 24th for Orlando. I hear Nov. 24 ( day after American Thanksgiving ) is the biggest shopping day in the US. ( is it? ) Maybe your big Sis knows. Can't wait! It was 84 in Orlando today.

Why Oralndo ? Where are you getting this ship ? I would take 84 anytime over what we are going to get tomorrow ....1 inch of rain .

Yes , Thanksgiving is the busiest day of the year and we usually go to Buffalo for the weekend . I am not sure the "girls" are going this year .

Mary, you wouldn't believe what goes on here on the day after Thanksgiving. It's called Black Friday and is the biggest shopping day of the year. Some of the bargains are phenomenal, and some stores open at 5:00 AM. In order to get the Early Birds, you have to get in line the night before or even a day or two before. I'm just not inclined, but it could be fun. There's a little 15" TV I would love to have for my new house kitchen counter which is now selling at $299. Black Friday price will be $129. Wish I had a teenager to sit out there; too old to sleep in the street. ;)

My cruise on the Carnival Elation (shhh) leaves from Port Canaveral. (Sorry, I like Carnival too). We're going to Grand Turk, Half Moon Cay and Nassau for 5 days.

Wow! Didn't know it was such a big deal....should have planned to come on the 23rd then. Oh well, at least I'll be there for part of the day. Hope we don't get in trouble talking about shopping and Carnival on a Princess board.

Good Early Morning again!

We'll before I start if anyone would like check out our beautifull sunrise check out the ships Cruise Cam as the sky is pink and purple currently as the sun is about to rise.

We'll with only 4.5 hours sleep in me naturally I am feeling a little tired this morning. The seas were very clam last night and currently the same. When I went to bed last night there was a light mist and fog over the ocean.

We arrive in Mykonos, Greece at 12 noon tosay and depart for Port Said at 7:00pm for one day at sea to make our trip to our first Egypt port.

Would you believe there are only 5 computers working in this Internet Cafe and they are all busy at 6:45am!

Going to be going to breakfast in a while and then possibly back to bed until we arrive in port.

More to follow later today from the Golden Princess enroute to Mykonos, Greece.

Arlene

It's called "Black Friday" because that is the day when, theoretically, merchants reach the point of making a profit for the year and the red ink thus changes to black.
