NCL Dream and Houston Texas

Twice-a-year

Recommended Posts

Don't go to the space center. Not as good as it used to be. Since you are probably staying down in that area, Kemah is a good place to visit and eat. If you have kids, they will love it. To the right of the Aquarium is a place to feed small stingrays. Fun for kids.

Downtown has great museums. The Natural science museum is really impressive and the zoo is really close too. The art museums are nice but you really need to know your way around. It gets pretty confusing getting around in that area. The Strand in Galveston is nice. The beach is ugly. Moody Gardens is o.k. but pretty expensive. I'd save my money for cruise shore excursions. For expensive shopping, the Galleria is the best for there is a really nice mall down around Nasa..can't remember the name of it.

You may check to see if there are any good shows downtown. We just saw "STOMP" and it was really good. Jones Hall, Wortham Center, Verizon Center are a few. Kind of confusing getting around downtown though and especially parking.

We are going on the Nov. 18 sailing on the Dream. Can hardly wait.

Good luck
