Evening flight day cruise ends...where to store luggage?

Our flight leaves at 5:30 pm the day our cruise ends. Assuming we don't do a shore excursion, rent a car, or do the Express Fly, etc, what options do we have for storing our bags? I believe we will just hang around the area, maybe take the bus or taxi somewhere close by. We are staying at the Pacific Monarch pre-cruise, so would hotels typically be willing to store it after the cruise for the afternoon? Does any hotel/shopping area have a storage area for you, even for a fee?
