Celebrity boarding in Miami

Has anyone boarded a Celebrity vessel in Miami lately? If so, I am curious as to the overall level of security? Are bags actually searched, bomb-tested, x-rayed, etc.? I have only cruised out of Fort Lauderdale lately.

I have never taken my bags through at Miami, once off the bus they go directly to the ship, I assume that they do whatever is needed. You do pass through metal detectors and your carry ons go through exray machines.

It is no different than Ft Lauderdale at all. The procedures are the same. Assuming they are using Royal Caribbean's terminal, the terminal is somewhat nicer than Ft Lauderdale though.

 

With that said, I still prefer Ft Lauderdale over Miami, especially for disembarkation. For some odd reason, I have some pretty bad experiences in Miami, probably due to the larger volume of passengers/traffic there.
