'W' Guarantee question?

We currently have a Sky Suite on deck 12 reserved on the Galaxy. I noticed that there is now availability in the w guarantee for quite a bit less. I checked online and the suite categories above the sky suites are sold out. So, I'm guessing I wouldn't get a better cabin. So, my question is...Why would Celebrity offer category w when the better suites are sold out? If I change my reservation to the guarantee..I'm going to still end up with a sky suite..most likely one on a lower deck with a smaller balcony. Any insight into this would be great!! Thanks!!!

I think you have it right. The SS they are offering at the other level - ? the w code - are on the deck below with not the same balcony area or in the great location you already have.

They would be doing to to get you to chance your booking, rather to get those who booked balconies to move up or promote new bookings to the suites
