dgund Posted November 4, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 4, 2006 Yes, I think so. The country radio station ,here in Tucson, has been advertising it for quite some time. It's supposed to be on the Pride of Hawaii.
Brownies52 Posted November 4, 2006 #3 Share Posted November 4, 2006 Since We're going May 14th, I had to investigate this. I just searched Tucson's radio stations and found this link to the cruise information: http://www.kiimfm.com/Article.asp?id=237119&spid= It's being billed as: The KiiM-FM 10th Anniversary Country Cruise! May 28-June 4th, 2007!
CruisinMK Posted November 4, 2006 #4 Share Posted November 4, 2006 Hawaii actually has a strong Cowboy tradition, they're called "paniolo" here. Cowboy with a heavy mexican/spanish/portugese influence. Portugese in particular brought the ukelele and lot of other culture. One of the 10 biggest ranches in the U.S.A. is on the big island, parker ranch. Also slide guitar has some big history from Hawaii.
