Fantasy 5 day Capers & review

I tried to edit my other review thread to put this new link on with the same pics I had on the other but this one has the capers added.

This was another perfect Carnival cruise.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Our Fantasy Cruise For Halloween Out Of Nola Was Perfect, We Loved Every Second Of It. (when I Refer To We That Will Be Myself About 36ish In Age My Beautifull Wife And Son Of 16).

Imbarkation Was A Breeze We Arived At About 11:30 To The Terminal And Was On The Ship With Froo Froo Drinks In Hand For About 12:15. Parking I Think Was 12 Bucks A Day In A Parking Garage With Your Vehicle Out Of The Weather And Safe.

Im Not Going To Get Into A Very Detailed Review But If Theres Anything You Would Like To Ask Please Do I Will Try And Ansewer.

First Day On The Ship We Met Up With A Few Other Couples That We Talked With Here On Our Rollcall Got To Meet And Mingle Awhile And We All Went Our Own Way After We Watched The City Of New Orleans Drift Away In The Sunset.

That Night We Ate At Windows By The Sea (and Most Other Nights) Then Continued Knocking Down The Froo Froo Drinks.

Later We Hit The Casino And In No More Than 30 Mins I Hit A $644 Jackpot On A Quarter Slot Machine. (what A Great Start).

We Didn’t Do Any Shows That Night, To Many Froo Froo’s.

Durring The Sea Days We Pretty Much Just Hang By The Pool And Enjoyed The Music And Atmosphere Of Being On A Cruise.

Oh, By The Way That First Sea Day Was Formal Night Where I Ate 4 Lobster Tails And The Waiter Never Blinked Twice, Glad To Keep Them Coming.

Next Day We Were In Costa Maya And Loved It Also, Learned From Here On The Boards To Get Out Of The Shopping Area And Headed To The Fishing Village Of Mahaual. We Liked It, That’s Were We Went To The Cats Meow Had A Great Lunch And Good Drinks. I Did Hear People Complaining About Costa Maya Back On The Ship But The Stayed Locked In The Shopping Area At The Peir. (should Have Done Their Homework On These Boards). On The Way Back To The Ship We Stopped At The Store Bought A Bottal Of Rum And Two Six Packs Of Sole Beer And Walked Right On The Ship With Them With Out Checking Any Of It. Needless To Say, The Drinks Were Flowing Again, The Rum Goes Good With The Fruit Punch On The Ship.

Well We Have The Buzz Going Again And I Talked The Dw Into Another Stop At The Casino And Lady Luck Was Running With Me, I Went In With A 20 And Hit 507 On A Dollar Machine.

Bailed Outta There With My Cash And Partied A While Longer Before Passing Out.

Now We Are In Cozumel, Weather Was Kinda Crappy. Had A Little Rain Off And On But Not A Complete Washout. We Didn’t Do Any Shore Tours Because This Was Our Fith Time There. We Kinda Just Did A Little Shopping And Had Luch At Ponchoes Backyard, And That Was Great. (learned About Them From Here On The Boards Also).

I Forgot To Talk About Halloween Night, It Was A Blast. Lots Of People Dressed Up And It Was A Huge Party (for Those Who Dressed Up And Participated Anyway). Again If It Wasn’t For These Boards We Would Not Have Brought Costumes And Would Have Been Left Out.

So With All The Times I Said Because Of These Boards I Would Like To Thank Cruise Critic And All The Members That Post Reveiws And Comments For Others To Learn From.

Thank You All.

Im Posting A Link For Some Pics Check Them Out And Enjoy.

I Will Get The Capers Up Tomorrow.

Ps. No Bashing On Me For Spelling Because Again I Have A Drink In Hand To Help With Post Cruise Deprssion.

Click on the pic and it will open the album with pics and capers

Did they have a returning guest party?????

They did have the past guest party but we didnt go.

It was on Thursday night, and that was after a full day in Cozumel, we were both pretty well spunt and we have been to a few other's... No big deal to us to miss it.

Thank you for your fine review. Just a couple of questions. For the first couple (maybe just the first ) cruise out of NO, there was some nagative comments about the Ragae band. Too loud, keyboards out of wack, etc. Did you notice any such problems? Also is there a jazz band onboard? These both are my music passions, expecialy after several fu-fu drinks.

I was just wondering the dress code for formal night. I ordered tux's for dh and ds just wondering if they were really necessary? Thanks

Formal night there were maybe 20 men in tux's that I seen, most men were in suits.

1. Not at all, we enjoyed the band. Now they were loud but I like it loud.

2.Also is there a jazz band onboard? These both are my music passions, expecialy after several fu-fu drinks.

If there was a jazz band we didnt come across them, I also like Jazz.

momof4boys = Thanks for the great review! We will be on the Fantasy In late June/early July. We loved the Elation and know that the Fantasy is similar.

Thanks also for the capers. I bet you will be booking another cruise soon!

We also loved the Elation and yes they Fantasy is very similar, the Fantasy won us over a little more than the Elation. The Fantasy had a makeover and it shows, she's a very nice ship.

You also said Bet we book again soon, we will , we are watching the price drop's on the Fantasy now. If Dw and I can get another week off we will be right back on the Fantasy soon.

Everyone that enjoyed the capers, your welcome.

I learned lots from these boards, the least I can do is pass on any info I pick up. To all seeing the Fantasy soon, have a great cruise, we sure did.

Thanks Flygrass,

You don't know how helpful the info is for a first time cruiser. I had no idea what to expect. The cruise on the 27th has really dropped in price. I have been upgraded to a nicer room and have been given a onboard credit, thanks to this board. The fares are super cheap right now! Hope to meet you there!

Have you ever been to Chac-Chi (Resort you get to by "hole in the fence") in Costa Maya?

No we havent,( been to Chac-chi) we were going to go later in the day when we went to Costa Maya but we enjoyed the cats meow in Mahaual to much. We sipped Sol beer (with lime of course) and margarita's right on the beach along with coconut shrimp and chips and salsa thats not to be missed.

We very well may end up booking the 27th, I cant get the time off for next weeks cruise so Im now working on the 27th. I do hope we can make it, we loved the Fantasy and we will see her again.

Im guessing you got to see the capers and my pics.....
