cruzky Posted November 7, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 7, 2006 Hi, I will be staying at the Renaissance Pantation Hotel on Christmas Eve and flying home on Christmas Day. I need to know if there is a church located around S Pine Island Rd? Thanks for your help
tonto524 Posted November 8, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 8, 2006 I would try going to the website for the Miami Archdiocese (http://www.miamiarch.org) and then looking at the listings for churches in Broward County. You may be able to just call them for information, but you can always compare the locations to your hotel address. That's what we've done in the past. If no one from the local area answers your post, I'd do the above - and I would call the nearest church too as you know the Christmas Eve/Day schedules will differ. Have a great trip! ande12 Posted November 11, 2006 #3 Share Posted November 11, 2006 St. Sabastians is the closest Catholic Church to your hotel. My wife and I have been there three times before our cruises. We stay at the Hyatt Pier 66 and you can walk to it from your hotel or call the parish and someone will come and pick you up.Last cruise a parishoner gave us a ride to the port. You can see the steeple from your hotel as it is just acroos the causway. hobo1937 Posted November 30, 2006 #5 Share Posted November 30, 2006 There is a great web site called http://www.masstimes.org. You can find churches anywhere in the US as well as overseas. It provides mass times, directions and if the church has a web site there is a link for that.
fastrock Posted December 7, 2006 #6 Share Posted December 7, 2006 I ditto masstimes, I'm a traveler and been using it for years, long before some of the dioceses started to financially support it.
