QE2 Nov 17 Is it TA or round trip?

Hi all, can anyone explain please? The 17/11 QE2 voyage from Southampton is advertised in the brochure as a 28 day round trip, ie Southampton to Southampton via Ft Lauderdale, New Orleans, Central America, Caribbean and return.

I see the first leg has been offered at cut price ie Southampton to Ft. L with fly back to UK.

Can anyone confirm: that this is because the full trip was under booked? If so, does this mean that there are similar offers on the Ft L onwards leg? ie that in Florida, we'll be joined by Americans who are doing a part trip and flying back to the States.

We're happy whatever, just interested to know more about our fellow travellers.

Thanks

We have booked the first leg to Fort Lauderdale after receiving cunards sailaway e-mail,would love to stay onboard for the whole trip but cant get the time off. I think it might be they are filling a few cabins our end which will then be filled by american cruisers on arrival at FL.

Hope you have a fantastic time.

We too are joining just for the Southampton to Fort Lauderdale bit. The TA suggested that the reason that this section became available was that some Americans would join in Fort Lauderdale adn also that some people were travelling across on the QM2 and then swapping across to the QE2 for the remainder of the cruise.

Getting excited now! Only 9 days to go!!

Hi -

We're boarding in Fort Lauderdale after crossing on the QM2.

While it was originally a round trip, this sailing was offered in the Cunarder magazine as "two ship, one voyage" combination trips. There were two options:

1) QM2 transatlantic, then transfer to QE2 for the Caribbean and return to Southampton - 27 nights

2) QE2 transatlantic, QM2 Caribbean and fly back to the UK - 15 nights

We've been told that there are quite a few people doing the same trip we are.

Hi Beth,

Yes, you've reminded me, the trip was in the Cunarder. I'd completely forgotten. Looking forward to the joint arrival in Ft L. and hope you have a wonderful trip. Looks like you'll be even further away from home!

Best wishes, Anita
