Got my cruise docs, but no invitation to the past guest party

We leave in just about a month for our cruise on the Inspiration. I have cruised one time before this on Carnival and was told I would get to go to the PGP and that an invitation should be in my docs. It arrived yesterday with no invitation. Is this normal? Do you now get them once your on the boat? Thanks for your help.

The invitation is delivered to your cabin before the party.

The invitation is delivered by your cabin steward a day or two before the past guest party. It's never come in the docs.

I believe that they'll be delivered to your cabin the day/night before the party. Or it'll be sitting on the desk as soon as you get there.

I've never gotten an invite with my docs. It's always been either waiting in my cabin upon boarding or delivered a day or two prior to the party.

Yes, you will receive your invitation in your stateroom once onboard.

In our past two cruises (April and last week) we recieved our invitations along with our ship pins in our cabin - I think a couple of days into the cruise. The Steward brings them with your capers.

Don't feel stupid at all!! :)

 

The method of delivery varies from ship to ship, but the invitation will get to your stateroom a day or two before the party.

 

Ours was on the bed along with the ship pins and the next days Capers.

 

Sometimes it may be on the desk, or in the mailbox outside your stateroom door. Don't forget to check that mailbox!

After 8 cruises, I have NEVER received my ship pins with my invitation to the PGP. I have 4 pins only after repeated letters to Carnival requesting my missing pins. I still need the Fantasy.

...and a second note, they only have past guest parties on cruises of 5 days or longer, so if you are on one of the 4 day cruises, you will NOT receive an invitation - ever...

I will be on the Fantasy Nov. 18th-24th. My two past cruises were on the Conquest but I did not receive a past guest invitation when I boarded. Do I need to notify anyone at the purser's desk when I board or will they figure it out and deliver the invite?

We just got off the Pride and did not get our pins until we got into the PGP. As we handed our invitation to the staff, a pin was handed to us in return.

BTW, we received the invitation on the night before the party with our capers.

So glad I found this site. Getting ready to go on 4th cruise in a couple weeks and have never gotten a pin or invitation to a PGP on the other cruises (and yes they were all 7 day cruises). Not gonna miss out this time. If they dont deliver invite I will hunt them down.

We also received our pins along with our PGP invitation on our bed. Note they do not announce when the party is in your Capers as it is not open to those who are not past guests. You might ask others that you know who are also past guests to let you know when they receive their invitation, just in case you don't get yours.

Your cabin Steward will have the invites, if you do not receive them just ask and he will bring them to you.

If you go to the cruise memorabilia board, there are lots of nice people that will help you get your Fantasy pin.

What exactly does the PGP consist of? Also, I assume my ship pin will be of the Conquest, since that's the ship I'm sailing on, but how do I get a pin for the first ship (Elation)? Oh - one more - my DH & 16 y/o DS will be on this cruise with me, but it's their first time on Carnival. Will they be able to go to the PGP with me?
