Car Rental, Port of Ft Lauderdale

Does anyone know if there are any car rental companies at the port itself? Would like to rent a car after disembark to keep for the day, and return to the airport.

 

Instead of that option, are there any car rental companies that have a shuttle from the Port to a car rental station?

Most of the main car rental companies are now housed in the new building at Fort Lauderdale Airport, which without trafic is 5 minutes away. I know they will take you to the port I am not sure if they will pick up. A cab ride cannot be more than $10. Iam sure when you book you can ask.

There are no rental car places within the port. Just ask when calling around whether the company will pick you up at the port for airport return. Some will, some won't.

I reserved through Budget. They have a shuttle pick up at the pier that will take you to their local location (not at the airport). Check the rates at budget.com, EV3 is the location code.
