Shoes for the Baths

Anyone have a good recommendation for shoes? Do we need sneakers for the hill down and water shoes for the Baths? Can you go barefoot in the Baths? I am worried my sandals wont be sturdy enough for the hills... appreciate any suggestions.

I suggest wearing water shoes. When we went, we all wore water shoes for both the hike down and on the beach. You access the beach area via a gradually declining path with man-made "steps" built into the hillside. There is a secluded beach on the other side that you can access involving going through caves, over and under boulders, using ropes and ladders to aid in the climbing. The rocks can be slippery, so be careful. The snorkeling is the some of the best we have experienced. Make sure you take a waterproof camera, this area is absolutely beautiful. You'll love it.
