help needed--considering a river cruise

On my recent Amadeus cruise (Budapest to Amsterdam, Amadagio) the tables were arranged in groupings of 2, 4 and 6, and seating was completely open. No places were assigned, and we all seemed to sit with someone different most dinners. It was a very pleasant way to meet a lot of interesting people and we enjoyed it very much.

Most lunches were at 12:00 or 12:30 and most dinners were at 7:00. Most of us were usually finished eating in an hour or so and then went to the lounge after dinner for more visiting and entertainment.
