car rental in Houston

We are going on the Splendour in February and will be arriving a few days early in Houston. Thought we would rent a car from Hertz and drop off in Galveston. We are having trouble booking this over the net. Won't allow us? Anyone ever done this?

You need to call them and see if they allow this. I had heard only Budget and Enterprise did this and you will pay alot for the one way charge.

For a Feb car I called Enterprise and total cost was $95

Call Hertz direct. We did thhis a couple of years ago. We rented the car at the airport and returned at a local office in Galveston. On return they picked us up at the pier and took us to their office and we had the same car to return to airport. look in the Enterainment book for Hertz discount coupons.;)
