Taxis in Galveston

We are planning on leaving our car at the Ramada Express for our cruise and take a taxi to the dock. Can someone tell me how far in advance I should try and schedule one? Its for Sunday and I know that there are two cruise ships in town that day. There will be 5 of us.

personally....we are planning to do the same thing, and talked to Tropical Taxi, they seem to be very professional and one of the "newer cab" co's in Galveston...they also have minivans available.

 

They recommend calling them an hour before you want to leave, or the people at your hotel should be able to contact them.
