Cornus Posted November 15, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 15, 2006 I've seen OWB mentioned in several posts but am unable from context to figure out what it stands for. Any help? TIA
Spikesgirl Posted November 15, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 15, 2006 Over-water bungalows. These are really nice and if you do get the chance, stay in one at least once. My DH surprised me with one on our last trip to Tahiti. It was post cruise and a great way to mourn being over the cruise. I highly reccommend it:D Charlie
Cornus Posted November 15, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted November 15, 2006 Thanks for your quick response. I did read about OWB's on various PG threads. Maybe I'll try to include a stay in one when I take my PG cruise next March...sounds like fun.
Spikesgirl Posted November 15, 2006 #4 Share Posted November 15, 2006 You're very welcome. We stayed at Le Meriden and while it was nice, it was really far outside of Papeete. however, it was very close to the airport, so it sort of balanced everything out. We also contacted www.tahiti-tourisme.com and got one of their free brochures. Even though you will be on a cruise, it gives lots of fun info about the islands and things to do. Enjoy Tahiti - it has been our most spectacular cruise to date and we done many. Can't wait to go back. Charlie
