Could anybody tell me who currently is the cruise director on the QM2 .

He was on the Golden Princess a couple years back and was a great CD. Very personable--and looked every inch a Scot in his formal kilt!

We thought the CD on QE2 this summer (Martyn Moss) was great, anyone know if he's likely to be on next August? I have no idea how often they change over...

Martyn is not only a regular, but a breath of fresh air after Greener.

 

Greener tried to get into the Queens' Grill to eat with Norman Wisdom, but was refused entry!

When I was on the QM2 in August 06 the CD was Ray Price who I thought was very good

Now I know that Paul Becq was not to everyone's taste, but at least he tried to speak to as many people as possible. I only saw Mr Greener once, and that was at the World Club drinks thing. Never saw him again for the rest of the trip.

I am never aware of the Cruise Director being there - I suppose that means he's doing a good job.

It depends on your point of view. He is in charge of all of the social staff, performances etc etc. Therefore, he should really be a "people's person" and try to speak to people and raise the profile of the social staff in the fabric of the ships operation.

Thank you all for your replies, Alistair was the CD on the Sea Princess last Xmas and New year and we thought he was good at his job and not too "in your face" as some can be. It looks as if we will have his services again this Christmas on the QM2.
