transportation to port carnival

going on elation in 3/3/07. we will be spending the night in orlando. any suggestions for a hotel??priceline?? and suggestion for transportation to port canaveral vs renting a car. last time we took a limo but it was split between 11 of us so it was reasoneable. any help will be appreciated.:):):)

A car is the omly way to go. Its fast, cheap and easy!

The Radisson at Port Canveral is the closest hotel to the ship and will take you over to the ship, they will also let you park your car there if you are driving.

I agree, the Raddison at Port Canaveral was great. We had an excellent breakfast there, and free shuttle to the dock. Quick and easy. Depending on how much time you spend there, they have a beautiful pool and nice rooms, as well. We paid $109.00 online price.

 

Art's Shuttle, out of Canaveral, will pick up at the airport, (they meet you right at baggage, and take your luggage, too!) and also meet you at the ship for your return trip to the airport. They are very reliable, and within the same price range as the rest.

 

Between the two, our trip went very smoothly!

Just got back a few weeks ago...we arrived a day early and rented one way from Budget and stayed at Radisson at the Port. The next day we returned the car to Budget in Cape Canaveral and they will shuttle you to the port. From checking around all the car rental agencies in town will do this. They will also pick you up at the end of your cruise if you want to rent a car for the drive back to Orlando. This came in handy for us since our flight wasn't until late afternoon-we drove to Downtown Disney and saw a movie to waste some time. Reasonably priced about $150 for each way for a SUV. Have fun.

Actually there are 2 new properties closer. The Residence Inn and the Country Inn & Suites.
