Le Havre Question

We will be arriving in Paris Saturday morning June 23, 2007 to see some sights prior to our cruise. We are planning on traveling to Le Havre on Monday which is the embarkation day. Any advice on the best way to get there? We thought a train ride would be nice, but are open to any suggestions.

I agree that a train is probably the best and easiest. I did the reverse several years ago...got off the QE2 at Le Havre a day before it was to dock at Southampton after a TransAtlantic/Caribbean cruise. Since I was headed for Paris anyway, it was a lot easier doing this than winding up in Southampton the following day and THEN making my way to Paris from there.

The train is the easiest way to travel from Le Havre and Paris, and it takes only about 2 hours. A motor coach charter booked onboard would be another option, but it takes over three hours and is less comfortable as there are many stops for tolls between the two cities. Go for the train. It is also scenic with views of the countryside.
