Greece and Turkey Tips

We have been to Greece and Turkey on the Spirit twice and loved it -- it was a tough decision to pass it up again this fall but we opted to do Asia instead on Dec 6. In Athens we have stayed at the Andromeda Hotel a short subway ride from the Acropolis, etc, next to the Americam Embassy. Itis a small elgant boutique hotel -- very quiet, very good service. In Istanbul we first stayed at the lovely Four Season in the Sultanhamet( old town) a converted prison directely between the Aya Sofia and Blue Mosque. The next time we stayed one block form there at Yesil Ev for more local color and at less than half the price. Istanbul is oneof our favorite cities in the world -- very exotic and very friendly.Great restaurants and shopping. And the cruise itineraries through the coast of Turkey and Greek islands can't be beat. In addition to the larger, more heavily touristed islands and cities Seabourn takes you to small charming places like Fethiye and Napvilon.I am sure you will have wonderful cruise -- who knows maybe we we will book the same trip!
