3-day cruises

i am going on my first 3 day cruise and was wondering what Is hould expect to be diffrent from a 7 day cruise........Aside from the number of days that is :)

 

Will there still be a midnight buffet? will there still be a captains night? will there still be shows? will there be a sail away party?..........thanks

I'll answer what I know. There's always a welcome aboard buffet and always a Captain's cocktail party. Past guest parties are only 5 day or more sailings. Lobster is served on every cruise. I don't think there is a Grand Gala midnight buffet on 3 days anymore, but still a midnight buffet the first two nights. There are still shows. I'm sure people out there know more. Have fun.

Whats the diffrent from the Gala Midnight buffet and a regular midnight Buffet? i am use to cruises like Norwegians that just have either the blue lagoon or the buffet area open 24hours a day......

The Grand Gala is the "fancy" buffet with all the ice carvings and fruit flowers, vege sculptures and the like. Picture that in comparison to the Mexican buffet which is up on the Lido deck at midnight. It's still another meal, just not a feast for the eyes.
