how bumpy are the roads??

Just wanted to know because when I go I'll be almost 12 weeks post cervical surgery and don't want to take too many unreasonable chances.. are the roads really rough?? thanks

It was a little scary for me. I don't recall it being extremely bumpy, but they do make several sharp turns on very tiny roads with VERY steep drops. Although, this is the most beautiful island I have ever been to. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

I don't remember the roads being bumpy either. They are really winding, narrow, and go very high though. The drivers are very good that I saw, just make sure you book someone licensed to operate tours though. I had a great day with Reynold: reynotours@hotmail.com

I agree with Pholter. The roads are narrow and winding, but not particularly bumpy. By all means, use a recommended driver so that you will know you are with someone safe. Both Reyno, and my driver Beno, have been used by many cruisers and they come highly recommended. You want to be sure your driver is licensed and certified. Many of the local drivers are not, so stay with one of the drivers recommended here on cruisecritic.
