Shopping 17th street area

Anyone know - is there anyplace in the 17th street area ( staying at the Renaissance) where one can buy clothing - specifically - men's shorts?

I'm not as knowledgable as others that can tell you more, but I do know the Walgreen's right across the street sells some clothing......shirts, shorts, swimwear, hats, etc.

Less the a block west of your hotel is Carriage Clothiers.

When I stayed at the Renaissance Jan. 2005 we took a cab to the Galleria Mall. It's less than 5 miles away and the cab wasn't much. You can also take the water taxi. It stops about a block away from the Renaissance and is a wonderful way to some of Fort Lauderdale. www.watertaxi.com

Thanks katmash - I found some shopping links on the internet - I will check them out when I get there - I thought that I could get some info from some of the locals down there - I guess they don't read this link.
