Checking doc status on HAs website

Just thought that everyone would like to know that checking your doc status on HAs website does not always work. We are leaving on the Wdam on 12/10 and I have been checking everyday since others on the roll call are dancing. As of Friday with no shipment found, I called my TA and left a message that I had not received them and should I be worried. She called me back yesterday morning (yes on Sunday), and told me that they were laying on her desk and that she would get them out today. Has this happened to anyone else?

Hey there, we2cruisers - we'll be seeing you soon!

Same thing happened to us as well (same sailing)...and they did go to our TA first in NJ and then were sent to us. I'm guessing they probably do bulk mailing to TAs that have more than one client on that sailing (or sailings within a few weeks of each other).

Ours never came up on the DHL tracking page, even after we'd received it.

We're in the same boat as you, a Canadian using an American travel agent. How long before the cruise did you receive your docs?

We received ours about a couple of weeks ago - so about a month before our sailing; however, there were people on our roll call who received them a couple weeks before we did (including some Canadians as well)...and obviously some who are still waiting ;)

I think it just has a lot to do with how quickly your particular agent gets them out to you...my guess is HAL sends them all out around the same time (or at least within a week or two at the most). We certainly haven't had any issues at all dealing with our online agent (based in NJ) - its been smooth sailing :)

We dealt with an online agent from NJ for our first cruise and had very good experience with them, also. I agree that the speed with which the agent turns it around is the likely factor to affect the speed the most.
