We Wanna Go To Xcaret from Cozumel--Can It Be Done Without the Ship's Tour?

We're on Zenith (for the last time, boo hoo) in January, and want to go to Xcaret from Cozumel, but without the ship's tour. Is this possible? Has anyone done it? Our reason is that we prefer to come and go on our own timetable. Thanks!
