Avoid the Norwegian Dawn - Room 8120 !!!

We had booked a guaranteed outdoor cabin and ended up in stateroom 8120, which is an obstructed view. There is a tender right below the window, but you can still see out perfectly. There is a specialty restaurant called Salsa on the Deck 8. My stateroom was right across from the kitchen. Besides the noise that I was able to hear through the door and walls, there are also connecting pipes in the ceiling. There was always noise in my cabin and it kept me up at night and sometimes woke me up very early. I would assume that this was the worst stateroom on the ship and I complained about it. It should not be sold to guests. If you go on this ship, make sure that you do not end up in cabin 8120 !!!

just to offer a differing opinion i was in room 8622 (or one next to it) in 2003(?) and thought it was a great room. it's handicapped accessible so the bathroom and room are bigger than normal. i don't recall any noise problems at all. i wonder if the opposite side of the ship is the louder part maybe?

I am booked for a handicapped accessable room, also. Are the rooms much bigger than normal? I booked a guaranteed room and as of now I am assigned in a handicapped room. I am hoping for an upgrade, but not holding my breath.

I stayed in this room Norwegian Dawn 8120 summer 2014 and experienced the same noise all day and all night. It is high pitched and I had to wear ear plugs all night to sleep. I was miserable every time in the room. I listened for the noise near the other handicapped obstructed oceanview rooms right next to 8120 and no noise. This is the only room that is a problem. I would highly recommend the other rooms right next to 8120. The handicapped rooms offer a lot more space in the room and the obstructed view was nice.

I'm not sure if the images above worked because I can't see them. Here are links to the images that work for me. This is Norwegian Dawn room 8120 from summer 2014 obstructed ocean view handicapped room.
