Has anyone done this hike up the mountain, and is it a difficult climb? I would love to do it, but they make it sound like you have to be Edmund Hillary to get up this moountain yet it is only 3,000 feet. Please give me the real poop! Thank you

I did the climb a couple of years ago for a significant birthday. For most of our group. it was pretty difficult. However,if you work out on a regular basis, you should be OK. It's not the distance or even the elevation that is difficult, it is the terrain. Most of it is very steep on rocks, mud, vines, etc. I was glad to accomplish this, but really do not have any desire to do it again.

One foot note. Take the ship's tour, especially if time may be tight. If something delays your group, there is no way to communicate to the ship. We left first thing in the morning and did not get back until around 3:00pm. Would hate to miss the ship to save $20!!!
